Innu DMC Safety Services – Our Indigenous Partnership

Founded in 2010, Innu DMC Safety Services is a majority Indigenous-owned partnership built on mutual respect, shared values, and a commitment to strengthening Indigenous participation in Labrador’s workforce and economic development.

Through this partnership, Mercer Safety contributes deep technical expertise, proven service models, and best-practice approaches, while our Indigenous partners provide essential local knowledge, cultural insight, and strong community relationships. Together, we deliver high-quality, culturally informed services that support sustainable development and long-term community success.

Innu DMC specializes in Occupational Health and Safety consulting, training, and industrial hygiene services, supporting infrastructure, mining, resource, and public-sector projects across Labrador. Our experience includes work on large-scale developments such as the Muskrat Falls Generating Station, as well as projects with leading organizations including Vale Base Metals, Iron Ore Company of Canada, and Tata Steel.

We are also proud to work in partnership with the Labrador Aboriginal Training Partnership (LATP), supporting skills development, safety training, and employment readiness for Indigenous workers. Through this collaboration, we help build local capacity and create pathways to long-term, meaningful employment within major projects and industries.

Our work is grounded in understanding community priorities, respecting cultural traditions, and fostering relationships that create meaningful, lasting benefits.

This partnership reflects our ongoing commitment to reconciliation, capacity building, and collaborative growth, ensuring safety, opportunity, and prosperity for the communities we serve.
