Training Overview

Falling from heights remains one of the leading causes of workplace fatalities.

Mercer Safety, an approved Fall Protection training provider regulated by WorkplaceNL, provides training that equips participants with the knowledge and practical skills to work safely at heights, meet all regulatory requirements, and reduce the risk of incidents caused by unsafe practices or non-compliance.

In Newfoundland and Labrador, anyone working at heights above three metres must wear approved fall protection equipment and complete a certified training program, as required under the Occupational Health and Safety Regulations, section 139.

The Canada Occupational Health and Safety Regulations also apply to work performed at or above three metres, and some worksites may establish site-specific standards that require fall protection training at lower heights.

Training Duration: two days

Expiry: three years

Cost: $295.00 plus HST per participant
