Marine First Aid: Basic Training*

Training Overview

The objective of this training is to provide participants with the essential knowledge and skills required to respond to medical emergencies in a marine environment.

This course meets Transport Canada training standards (TP13008) and is based on Standard First Aid with CPR-A, supplemented with marine-specific first aid practices.

Upon successful completion, participants will receive a Marine Basic First Aid Certificate from St. John Ambulance or the Canadian Red Cross, along with a Transport Canada Training Certificate.

Training Duration: two days

Prerequisite: none

Minimum Age: 16 years

Expiry: five years

Cost: $295.00 plus HST per participant*

*St. John Ambulance fees for training materials and certificates will apply

  • This course is intended for individuals working aboard marine vessels who require Transport Canada–approved first aid training.

    It is suitable for crew members, officers and others responsible for providing immediate care in the event of an emergency at sea.
